Payment and Shipping Guidelines
Returns and Exchanges
Columbia Overland is happy to accept returns within 15 days of delivery. Please return merchandise with original packaging, in an unused condition. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Returns may incur a restocking fee, depending on the manufacturer. Special orders are not returnable.
Return shipping charges are the buyers responsibility and will not be paid for by Columbia Overland. We recommend insuring returns for full value as it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure safe delivery to Columbia Overland. After 15 days we will offer exchanges or store credit for 30 days on products that are unused in the original packaging. Shipping and Delivery
Our standard shipping methods are UPS and FedEx Ground Shipping with few exceptions. Additional shipping options are available upon request and will likely include additional charges. Typically orders received by 3:00p Pacific Time are shipped within two (2) business days whenever possible - this is not guaranteed. If you need an item quickly please call us to expedite your order to ensure an on-time delivery.
Occasionally a purchased item may be out of temporarily stock. If this happens we will notify the customer of their options including waiting for inventory to arrive or canceling the order at the request of the customer. Some orders may be drop shipped from alternate locations. Drop shipped orders may be shipped with carrier services other than FedEx, or UPS Ground.
We ship internationally. Orders to Canada may require extra postage and insurance beyond the shipping charges generated here on Columbia Overland, if so additional charges may apply. In the event there are extra charges for shipping, Columbia Overland may contact you to discuss the extra charges. For international shipping quotes please call or email us, as the shipping costs vary depending on the size of the item, country to which we’re shipping and speed of delivery.
Find the item you would like to order at our online store. Click on Add to Cart to order the item. The default quantity is one item but can be changed in your Shopping Cart or from the items product page. Additionally many of our items have various options including finish and optional accessories. You can select these options using either the checkbox or drop down menu. When you think you are ready to buy, check the items in your shopping cart. You can change quantities, delete line items or even empty the cart. When you are done shopping, proceed to the Checkout section.
Once you select Checkout you will need to enter personal information and select shipping options. Additionally you will need to select payment via Credit Card. Once Credit Card information is entered you will have an opportunity to review your order before submitting it. Shortly after you submit an order, you will receive a confirmation message via e-mail confirming your order.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express payments through our online payment gateway.

Credit Card Security
We use Stripe to Encrypt and verify the integrity of traffic between the browser and the server, to verify that the browser is talking to the correct server. In practice, this usually means verifying that the owner of the domain and the owner of the server are the same entity. This helps prevent man-in-the-middle attacks. Without it there's no guarantee that you're encrypting traffic to the right recipient.
Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor, and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available. Stripe forces HTTPS for all services, including our public website. We regularly audit the details of our implementation: the certificates we serve, the certificate authorities we use, and the ciphers we support. We use HSTS to ensure browsers interact with Stripe only over HTTPS. Stripe is also on the HSTS preloaded lists for both Chrome and Firefox.
